Adult Literacy

At The Real Life Resource Center, our Adult Literacy program goes far beyond reading and
writing. We understand that many adults have fallen through the cracks due to systemic failures,
trauma, or limited access to quality education. Our program meets participants where they are
— whether they’re reading at a 3rd-grade level or simply want to better navigate work
documents, health information, or public systems.
Unlike one-size-fits-all tutoring programs, we provide individualized support, small group
learning, and real-world application (like filling out job applications or understanding lease
agreements). We help build confidence, dignity, and independence — empowering adults to
become lifelong learners, role models, and engaged citizens.
