Who We Serve

The Real Life Resource Center serves individuals and families who are often forgotten or underserved.

Our primary focus is engaging low-income youth and adults between the ages of 18–35. Our target populations include:

  • Unhoused individuals seeking shelter, stability, and support

  • Single parents who need affordable daycare and parenting resources

  • Young people at risk of community violence or living with unaddressed trauma

  • Older adults living alone, isolated, or without adequate support

  • LGBTQ individuals in need of safe, identity affirming spaces

  • Survivors of domestic violence seeking security, guidance, and healing

Many of those we serve are navigating multiple barriers simultaneously — such as lack of

transportation, poor mental health support, hunger, and financial instability. We are here to

create a pathway to self-sufficiency through wraparound services that respect their dignity and empower their future.

How We Help

Our mission is grounded in real, practical, and life-changing support. We provide a range of services intentionally designed to interrupt cycles of poverty and trauma while promoting long-term independence and well-being. These include:

  • Life skills training: resume building, cooking, conflict resolution, time management, and job readiness

  • Mental health support: on-site counseling, group therapy, trauma-informed care, and peer-led support

  • Financial assistance: emergency help with rent, utilities, food, and transportation

  • Daycare and childcare services: for working single parents and young families who cannot afford private childcare

Our focus is hyper-local. We aim to revitalize our local communities by giving residents the

tools, space, and support they need to live stable, purpose-driven lives.

We rely on grantmakers, donors, and volunteers to ensure these services remain accessible and

enduring.
